We Enter New Hampshire- Our Last State

Updated: Feb 19, 2020

July 22 Day 51 76 miles

We rode directly to the Connecticut River and crossed into New Hampshire in the first couple of miles. Route 9 took us to Keene, NH and beyond, to our first SAG stop. After that, we were on smaller roads, riding from one small town to the next. By then is had started to rain, which continued for the rest of the ride into Manchester, NH.

We have our usual hotel breakfast, offering the same selection of food every day. Michael tries on his T-shirt before donning his Biking clothes.

The bridge across the Connecticut River takes us into New Hampshire.

Then down Route 9 toward Keene. That is Mt Monadnock just in front of Jim's helmet.

It was fun to ride through Keene, NH, a city that I spent a lot of time in as a young man.

Route 9 continued for another 20 miles with a first SAG stop in a dirt lot along the way.

The afternoon was spent on smaller roads, connecting these charming New England villages. Francistown was chosen for the second SAG stop. After that, it rained.

The last photo of the afternoon.

And tomorrow we ride to the sea!
