We had another amazing day of riding, first through a small ravine, and then by bike path along the shore of Lake Tahoe. What a spectacular sight. We were able to ride for 10 miles along the north shore, through small lakeside communities. The route then started a steady 8 mile climb to the top of Mt Rose, giving stunning views from the snow covered peak.

This was followed, of course by an even longer, steady downhill from the summit, taking us down 5000 feet over 15 miles. 45 minutes of continuous braking left my forearms burning.

What a ride down!
