June 24 Day 23 103 miles

It was another beautiful day! We left Lamar in cool weather, under blue skies, and the road stayed straight and level. With no hills in the first half of the day, the miles flew by. We could see for forever down the road, and out into the fields on either side. We are seeing a lot of wheat, corn and cattle fields. There is really little else between the small towns that offer the only variety in the day.

People are friendly and always curious about our tour.

We crossed the state line into Kansas today. Tonight we sleep in Garden City.

We can see for miles in every direction.

Crossing into Kansis gives us a good excuse for a photo .

Dotted along the way between miles of fields, we find evidence of civilization.

garden city is the biggest thing around..

I'll bet you're pretty close to half way now, right?

I love that photo of you and two friends in the western gear in Dodge City. I hope you got to keep the hat. You look good in it!!!!!

Missed you today at spinning. Jenn Hannic was the instructor--a real dynamo. But I guess did your share of spinning at 103 miles!!! You are reeling off the centuries. Keep up the good work. See any trains?
