June 11 Day 10 107 miles

We rode from Elko to Wendover,NV. It was all highway riding, with little head wind and about 6 of us drafting in the morning. There was only one food stop, and we bought sandwiches, that were delivered by our support crew to the last SAG stop.

The middle section was an 8 mile climb, followed by 2 glorious 5 mile down hills.

The last couple of miles brought us to the brink of the salt flats that stretched for miles beyond the town of Wendover.

The day started out looking like many of our other rides in Nevada.

We spent most of the morning working our way around this mountain , seen here in the distance.

We don't see many animals, but there is evidence of them..

One of the particular challenges, is navigating these cattle guards, intended to contain the livestock.

For the first time, today, we saw these wildlife crossings, built just to allow wildlife migration.

The climb came mid-day, with a little construction to navigate. The last SAG stop was at the top of Pequop Pass.

I celebrated with birthday doughnuts at the top.

At this last rise, we can look out onto the salt flats. Then we descend into Wendover, NV
